Here at Club Millennium we like to be original, and the first to bring you unique ideas. It's 2 am, and I'm still cleaning carpets as the result of my manager's latest and not so greatest idea, the STYROFOAM PARTY
Some of you may remember when we had this idea to do the "Blizzard of Oz". A rock show that involved spraying and blowing around those "packing peanuts" that you use when you ship or move. These little things are very fun to play in. So we decided to get almost 500,000 packing peanuts and spend a ton of money building a contraption to blow them around in.
People didn't know what to do. I work in a night club where people dance, and they like themes where they can dress up and be completely different of what they are in the daytime. Trust me, you think the girl at the supermarket is quiet and reserved until you see her break it down with 4 dudes. Craziness. But..the point...People didn't know what to do. I think we should have just invited kids 8 and under to come and play in the packing peanuts inside of a plastic contraption. The ultimate unsafe experience that would change their lives. Because, I know if I were 7 years old jumping in a sea of packing peanuts, I would have reached life's greatest moment. So again..back to the point! (adult add is best at 2am) People just felt so uncomfortable and weird being in a sea of packing peanuts. Our foam parties explode but thats dancing in a giant soapy pool, not in packing peanuts. Might have well been dancing in a box.
It gets better....
Little did we know, half of those packing peanuts were recyclable. So due to the heat and moisture produced in a night club they melted and formed to the floor. These things are comparable to carving gum out of the floors. The other packing peanuts, simply clung and stuck to every piece of carpet, glass, wall in this club. It's tuesday, we've all been cleaning since sunday and I could say that we're 1/2 way done.
Now we're stuck with bags and bags of packing peanuts that we don't want. My manager has suggested to put them on Craiglist. I hope to god that I get to deliver these to the lucky person that offers the most on craigslist. Unless you're moving a 16 room mansion, I have no idea what you would do with these things.
The moral of the story is, some ideas although unique, are not the best. Stick to what you know.

Addicted to YouTube
I suppose as with any addiction the first step is admitting you are addicted.
Dear YouTube
I have to watch you at least 2 hours a day. From 80's electro funk to documentaries on trained helper monkeys you educate me in everything I never needed to know.
Thank You
Hellen
It's 3:30 in the morning and I haven't been to bed yet. Because Ray (Shirts Up Serigraphics shout out) and I decide to watch 3 hours of youtube covering the following...
Blaxploitation Films
Cartoons from the 80s & 90s
Legends of the Hidden Temple (WHO LOVED THIS SHOW AS MUCH AS I DID?!)
Gumby
I'm tired and can't think. Today I figured out some offers of bands we want to bring up in 09. Be really excited because I know I'm excited on every group that was put on the table. It's a lot of work to do an offer, back in the day I thought you just called a band and simply asked. No, after pages and pages of percentages, break even points, and headaches you'll figure it out.
PS I'm very much into latin jazz lately. Listen to Sergio Mendes to start you out.

Thanksgiving, The Riot, & Twilight Craze
I've decided to let everyone peek into my life. Not that I'm some superhero, I just feel like connecting with a lot of you. I admit, sometimes this job gets overwhelming and you want to give up, but you just have to remember all of you out there that love shows and music as much as I do!
Thanksgiving was terrific, played wii with the brothers. My 8 year old brother beat me in bowling, not sure how that happened, but I guess I'll have to sharpen my skill. I was raised by vegetarians so for the first time in 22 years turkey made an appearance at our thanksgiving. Thanks to my aunt, the carnivore in the family. I'm not vegetarian right now but I'd like to return to not eating meat in 09. Baby Steps!
Friday was so boring. I caught up on tv shows and designed the flyer for the rap vs rock show at Shirts Up Serigraphics (I love their powerful macs, goes so much faster). I love the show Dexter, if anyone watches that please please please let me know so we can discuss! I guess when there is no shows, it makes time for naps. But I do miss seeing my show buddies.
Saturday I invited a few homies from the shows to Twilight. Took along Jenna as well (my roomate) and we filled up almost a whole theater row. Throwing ice, throwing popcorn, people hardcore dancing during the movie, and totally making fun of cheesy moments, probably the highlight of the weekend. These vampires are from Alaska?! We have been making so many headlines lately! At least being pale is totally the new tan! My time has finally come! I know some of you think Edward is hot, and I must say...I definitely agree :) But this craze is insane!
Sunday, Costco trip! I <3> Costco, although the store was slammed packed. You HAVE to love costco for its samples. Odwalla, weird fruit candy samples, and a side of soup? That's a meal right there! ha But, shopping for the house definitely required a 10 lb bag of gummy bears, I'll have to bring them to shows because I have way TOO many. But who could resist 12 lbs of gummy bears? I also went to Best Buy and bought Paramore's THE FINAL RIOT dvd. I really love Paramore, I feel that they are so real with their fans. Very down to earth people, I'm sure we'll see them soon in Alaska ;)
I'm up late again due to insomnia. Does anyone else have this problem? You think with 5 hours of daylight one would be able to sleep all the time. But me....I'm up so late and up early. Sleep is for the weak! Let me know how your thanksgiving went, did you buy anything on the crazy black friday? What are you listening to out there?
